We need you.....

Any magazine is only as good as the quality of its writing. It’s not enough just to fill the pages. We decided early on that we would strive to make excellence and accuracy paramount virtues of MCJ.

We have a responsibility; to you, our readers, and to all those who came before us; to do the very best we can to educate both physician and patient alike, and to carry the truth about cannabis to every individual who seeks it out.

We need correspondents, from every part of the globe, wherever cannabis news is happening. We need first hand accounts, on the spot interviews, and political pulse takers.
For us, it’s not enough just to convey what’s on the AP. We want to hear it from the source. And we want to hear it from those impassioned as ourselves; fellow patients who understand the importance of this vital plant.

If you think you can meet our standards of quality and truthfulness, we would like to hear from you. You just might see your story in our pages.

Please, keep it original - no plagiarism. And keep it professional. Identify all your sources. We want the MCJ to always be positive, thought provoking and educating.

Medical Cannabis Journal, for patients, by patients. Together with the truth, we will make our world a better place.

Hello, I would like to introduce myself as an advocate for medical marijuana, an elibible patient, and the author of a Facebook Page, Jackson OMCA2012. Here in Ohio we were approved by the Ohio Ballot Board to start gathering the 385,245 signatures of registered voters to qualify for the November ballot, the deadline for signatures being July 6. I invite you to view my page and feel free to contact me if you would want an account of my personal testimonial. I am empassioned by this cause, grew up in the newspaper industry, and would be interested in joining your team in some capacity.

If you are willing to buy a house, you would have to get the mortgage loans. Furthermore, my mother all the time utilizes a small business loan, which occurs to be the most useful.

It is great that people are able to get the personal loans and it opens new opportunities.

Cathy Jordan and ALS
Reply #1 on : Tue August 09, 2011, 06:22:40
Dear Medical Cannabis Journal,
I think you should contact Cathy Jordan, the longest surviving ALS patient at 25 years, who recently underwent major surgery to have a tumor removed, came home after only 4 days with staples in her stomach and no pain meds! The folks at the hospital in Florida were astounded. Call Cathy and get her own first hand interview.
Thank you for your great work,
Jean Marlowe

MCJ Interviews Mary Lynn Mathre

I have been a registered Nurse for over 35 years. I began in medical/surgical adult care - nursing and the hospital system. Along the way, I learned about patients using cannabis. I have a Masters prepared background in medical/surgical nursing. In the early 80’s, I was a supervising nurse in a small hospital in Washington State. Our Director of Nursing was quite concerned because an elderly patient was coming in with what she called a “marijuana pill.

IRS Ruling Against Harborside No Surprise by: Mark Pedersen

What has happened to Harborside, though regrettable and terribly tragic for those patients that rely on it, is far from being a surprise. The fact is, the only thing that has kept the state and Federal Governments from locking down ALL of the dispensaries in Cali and the other states with cannabis programs has been the sheer number of participants in their medical cannabis programs.

Round Table Meeting with Judge James P. Gray, Judy K. Thompson & Ron Niehouse (MCJ)

If you’re gonna use any, well no, not my drug cause it’s a legal drug, that’s alcohol, that’s okay. I can be a social drinker. But if you’re marijuana, you’re the devil weed. They don’t draw those distinctions intentionally. And they will accuse me of being a drug legalizer. Well, what does that mean? Anytime you’re a drug legalizer it has the intended connotation that I don’t care if your 12 year old daughter buys some cocaine in a vending machine across from her junior high school. That’s the connotation that they want. Because it will freeze peoples minds. It will stop the discussion in its tracks & that’s exactly the intended outcome.
